Holden Grange Care Group, marketing images, Baildon

A couple of weeks ago, I headed over to Holden Grange Care Group in Baildon, Bradford, to create new marketing images for them.

Over the years, I have created thousands of pictures for the group, so it was great to be invited back and catch up.

Less is more

It's great when a client knows what pictures they want and understands photography's power. We first started at Hillbro, capturing a few of the rooms. I had arrived early, so I managed to avoid most of the residents. I still had to use careful angles to prevent some people in the shots, but I'm good at this, so it's never a problem.

We then headed down the road to Grange Court. The brief was to take pictures of lots of the rooms, but we also had an opportunity to photograph some of the staff with the residents. As everyone knows, I'm a people photographer, so that's when I excel.

Make it fun

This shoot was so much fun! Everyone got into it. Leon, the boss, was good at getting people involved, and I just turned on some John Steel magic to get a few reactions. It's so lovely when there is a buzz; everyone enjoys it, and the pictures are always much better.

I had the interior, exterior, and candid shots of staff and residents, and then Leon decided to throw some staff pictures into the mix, which was fine.

I even got a bacon and egg sarnie made by Danny, the chef, so I was happy.

After being at Grange Court, we returned to Hillbro to do the same. We spent a while waiting for the sun to come out to get some pictures of the externals, and the rest of the time was spent photographing rooms, people and staff pictures.

Working with someone who understands the process and value of pictures was lovely.
