Brand shoot with Caleb from Heneghan Architecture, Honley, West Yorkshire

A couple of weeks ago, I headed to Honley in West Yorkshire to photograph Caleb from Heneghan Architecture. I had photographed Dan Heneghan, the head honcho, a few weeks prior, so I must have done a good job to be invited back.

I started the shoot in the office with Caleb, capturing his mad skills with design software. Caleb is a typical creative, and he had an idea for a picture. He had brought this wooden box, which his grandad had given him, and he wanted a picture with it.

He also brought his car, which was a beautiful Mini Cooper in old-school style. 

After a few pictures in the office, we decided to head out into the torrential rain and create some different pictures. When I photographed Dan a few weeks before, we headed over to one of the projects he was working on for the fabulous Holroyd Homes, which so happens to be a client of mine. We decided to head over there and capture some pictures.

The weather wasn't great—torrential rain and freezing cold—so I knew I had to be quick. As soon as we got there, Caleb relaxed. After we had captured the shots we needed to, I decided that I would create the picture Caleb had in his head. I didn't have big lights with me, so I had to improvise and use four speedlights to make something a little bit more dramatic.
