Commercial photography at Avena Carpets
A couple of weeks ago, I headed over to Avena Carpets, West Yorkshire. My good friend Dave at The Digital Cortex contacted me to ask if I could spend a day photographing the factory.
Avena Carpets is an amazing place, full of history and historic looms. Their history is insane, and they have made carpets that are in palaces, stately Homes, and lots of celebrities' homes.
I have always loved photographing industry and heritage. My favourite things to do are going into a business and telling stories. I went in, met Richard, the owner, and then was given free roam and told to photograph everything.
As always, I base my photos around all the people who work there, as photographing people helps create a real story. I met lots of brilliant and interesting people. This was a brilliant shoot. Everyone understood the importance of the photo shoot, and we got some fab pictures.
