Merewyn Sayers, headshots, Storthes Hall, Huddersfield
Today was a little experiment my friend Merewyn Sayers at Sayers Solutions required a quick headshot for one specific event so asked me if I could help her out. I set the timescale of one hour from getting out of the car to do a shoot, download the images, choose and edit the images. We headed to Storthes Hall in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire. I knew that shooting in the natural light would be the easiest, quickest and most effective way to get a variety in a short time. I've known Merewyn for ages and we always have a good laugh so the hardest thing for me on this shoot was to make sure that we were getting Merewyn, relaxed, fun and friendly and not pulling weird faces. I found a few locations outside which took about ten minutes. After this, we headed into Storthes Hall to get a few more pictures so we found a few places to shoot. Then it was the most important part of the shoot, time to get a brew. Whilst Merewyn got me a much of Yorkshire Tea I quickly downloaded the images. We then chose a good handful of favourites and I edited them there and then. It was a lovely way to make a shoot work and it's made me think of how I can offer a product to smaller businesses.
