Josh Taylor, 24 hour rowing British record holder
I was at the gym and heard that one of the personal trainers Josh Taylor was going to do a 24-hour row for charity. Sitting on a rowing machine is no easy feat but he was actually trying to break the British record for his age group. Josh was also raising money for the Alzheimers Society. I was devastated to hear that the local press wasn't interested in giving him any publicity for this amazing event. I said to him the least I could do is to pop down and take a few pictures. The rowing challenge was taking place in The Unit Gym in Honley, West Yorkshire. I bobbed down a couple of hours into the rowing challenge and Josh was in good spirits. Twenty-two hours later I headed back down to the gym secretly hoping that Josh would still be sat on the rower when I arrived there were Josh's friends and family all gathered around supporting him and cheering him on. With about five minutes to go Josh broke the current British record. Everyone counted down from ten seconds and there was a cheer when Josh had finished. It was an amazing performance and Josh is not the new British record holder in the 20 - 29 heavyweight age group. with a massive 277, 423 meters. Josh also raised over two thousands pound for charity. Here are a few pictures that took about twenty minutes of my time.
