Forget Me Not, clay pigeon shoot

Wow! This was a very fun photo shoot.  From the moment it started where I was sat with Mr Huddersfield Big Eorl Crabtree planning on how we could nick more bacon sarnies I knew it was going to be a good day.

This was the first clay pigeon shoot for Forget Me Not Chiildrens Hospice and was run by the fabulous team of Erik Aaron shooting and was held at Huddersfield Golf Club.  It was my first experience of watching or photographing clay pigeon shooting so it was a learning curve for me.  Lots of business people arrived in interesting attire but they all seemed pretty happy.

After a briefing from Erik the groups split up and the event began.  I was determined to get pictures that represent my fun documentary style of photography so may have once or twice bent the rules.  Everyone had an amazing time.  The volunteers from a banking group (whoops, forgot which one) were a good laugh and the whole event was a massive success.  After the event I even had a go at shooting and was shocked to actually hit quite a few of the targets

After the event everyone headed back for a spot of lunch where Edmund Thornhill of Thornhill Estates and Peter Branson Head honcho of Forget Me Not did small presentations.

Loads of fun were had by all and lots of money was raised.

Here’s some of my favourite pictures from the day. If you want your event captured in a fun way then please get in touch.
